About Me

I graduated from Westminster College in May 2011 with a B.A. in English and a B.F.A. in fine arts with an emphasis on painting and drawing. Unfortunately, in the intervening two years, I have done remarkably little with my writing and art compared to my peers. I spent the first year mired in self-pity and low-wage jobs and the second year back in school at the graduate-level to explore a more viable vocation I am equally passionate about: elementary and special education. However, my Creative Arts Methods class offered me a poignant reminder of the need to pursue all my passions. I particularly hope to use this summer (2013) as a time to not only develop my education website, but also get back into art-making.

A Little About EVERY SPARROW FALL

"Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father...Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows."
Matthew 10:29, 31   ESV

"There is special providence in the fall of a sparrow"
Hamlet  Act V, Scene II, Line 179

This blog reflects my intersecting interests in Christianity, literature, and the arts. Rather than sending emails to myself or recording my findings in easily mislaid sketchbooks, I've decided to keep an electronic copy of my musings with the added benefit that others can access my discoveries and see what I'm learning/thinking/creating, etc. Though the main audience is currently myself--and perhaps Mom and Granny--I welcome additional followers and feedback!

All my posts will be listed under the "Home" tab, but I will also include relevant posts under the appropriate headings to maximize search efficiency.
